Bruce Marsh

This book is a selection of paintings of mine from the 1950s to the present.
I believe it represents the major ideas I have been involved with and that I have pursued.

My painting has always been deeply influenced by my surroundings. Whether a lake, or a river, or a concrete block industrial building – the surroundings always find their way into the work.

Speaking about the nature and significance of painting is difficult for me. It involves the complete range of our capacities; our Intellect, memory, emotions, and imagination.
