Foil Stamping Max Size
In most cases, the maximum foil stamping mold size is 12×12 inches. That means the max foil stamping area can be done once is 12" x 12". This allows us to cover the front cover, spine, and back cover for a seamless design. If the foil stamping area is larger than 12" x 12" and the images combine with a few parts of images, the foil stamping can be done a few times to complete a larger area of foil stamping.
How We Do Custom Foil Stamping Books
Step 1: Produce a custom foil stamping mold
Step 2: Place the mold and heat the foil stamping machine to around 120°C. That's why it is called heat foil stamping.
Step 3: The foil material and printed paper imprint through the mold.
Step 4: The foil material goes through the mold and adheres to the paper.
Once the foil stamping process is complete, we go next step of binding.

For example, if you're printing 100 copies of a 64-page 8.5×11 paperback, the cost is $546. If you add one-place foil stamping, the cost increases to $576—just a $30 difference. That means the foil stamping adds only $0.30 per book!

What is the difference between foil stamping and embossing?
